The San Bernardino Water Conservation District is authorized by LAFCO to provide the following functions: water conservation and surveys of water supply and resources. The district operates with one business-type fund. The district is comprised of approximately 50,000 acres, and within its boundaries are several municipal water purveyors, public utilities, and other (mutual and private) companies who supply water needs. The territory includes all or portions of the cities of Redlands, Loma Linda, San Bernardino, Highland, and Yucaipa. The agency retirement plan is administered by CalPERS.
